With ALDI on the way, here's another new competitor as "southern Nevada" increasingly becomes So-Cal lite.
California grocery chain opens 1st Vegas store
21955 N Nellis Blvd., 89115
There was a pretty cool Instagram video showing off the tamale bar, the agua frescas, the boba tea bar, and more. Unfortunately, due to the nature of Instagram, of course I can't find it now.
They also seem to cater a bit to the Asian-American demographics in these places as well, as I found a couple posts promoting the instant noodles for sale at a location.

Re: 1st Superior Grocers open in Las Vegas valley
This is a former Food 4 Less/Raleys/Albertsons that did not get converted to Smiths.
I don't expect Superior to have an easy time in Las Vegas; their pricing pulling center store product from SoCal and the overhead of doing so is going to be a problem. They should be able to compete strongly on produce and some imported goods so it may work for them.
They will need additional stores for it to even possibly make sense.
